Inter­national Christ­mas Market Essen

Time travel can be so easy: Visit the Flachsmarkt and enjoy delicacies and goods as if from the Middle Ages - from handmade soaps and honey wine, to furs and smoked goods, to crystals and jewellery.

Programme:

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 18 November to 18 December 2025:

• 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Fairy tales for kindergartens and schools – free of charge. Advance registration at +49 176 35094847
• 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Blacksmithing and leatherwork for kindergartens and schools – donation of materials requested. Advance registration at +49 176 35094847
• From 7:00 p.m.: Fairy tales for adults, free of charge for guests consuming food and drink at the fairy tale hut. No advance registration required (subject to availability)

Every Wednesday from 3 December to 17 December 2025:

5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: ‘Die Musici’ – Medieval music in front of the taverns

Every Friday from 21 November to 19 December 2025:

4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: The cheerful bard – medieval music at ‘Flux Weinturm’ and the ‘Taverne’

Every Saturday from 15 November to 20 December 2025

4 p.m. to 10 p.m.: ‘Die wirren Köpfe’ – Medieval music at Fabulix

Fire show on 22 and 29 November (in case of rain, it will be postponed to the respective Sunday) from 7 p.m.
