Uncomplicated and climate-friendly - this is what the mobility of the future looks like: alternative drives, intelligent networking of different means of transport and so-called "sharing" are becoming increasingly important. In the year of the European Green Capital - Essen 2017, many developments and projects have therefore already been initiated in Essen that expand the existing environmentally friendly mobility offers, link them and make them more attractive.
The primary mobility goal of the city of Essen is to achieve the mobility turnaround in 2035: 25 percent each should then use the bicycle, public transport or the car or walk (modal split of 4 x 25 percent).
