The SANAA building is an architectural masterpiece with a pioneering energy concept. The imposing site of the Folkwang University of the Arts on the grounds of the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site was designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning SANAA architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. The interior structure is unique, consisting of four storeys, each with different room heights. The deliberately unagitated interior design creates an extraordinary arc of tension for your individual events. 134 window openings, which harmonise perfectly with the lighting mood inside, ensure unforgettable moments.
