The catacombs in the basement of the former printing works inside the Girardet Haus, which today serves as service and cultural centre, have achieved an outstanding reputation among the fringe theatres in the Ruhr area. Their programme is a mix of cabaret and comedy, jazz and children’s theatre, well known and emerging artists and reaches out to an enthusiastic audience. World music, global player parties and Turkish plays can also be found here on stage.
