When rock, pop or other concerts are happening in Steele they usually raise the roof of the GREND cultural centre. A bit less noisy but not less frequented are the workshops and tutorials of the GREND training institute. Art exhibitions, projects for children and young people, festivals and many other events complete the varied programme. On top of these the GREND has always been home to the Freudenhaus Theatre which is widely acclaimed.
