Here everyday items turn into cult objects. Alongside water taps and luxury interior fittings, even cars and drills are exhibited. The one thing the extremely different exhibits have in common is their exemplary design, for which they were awarded the internationally coveted and recognized Red Dot. The museum features the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary design.

Around 1,500 products from all over the world are presented in an exhibition area of more than 4,000 sqm. With its headquarters in the boiler house of the World Cultural Heritage Zollverein the museum has become a pilgrimage for culture, architecture and designer enthusiasts from all over the world.
