Without the sun, we cannot understand ourselves, because all life is based on the sun – this is the basic idea behind this light installation. The centrepiece is a three-part hollow disc in the glass extension of the Marktkirche. The three parts represent both the Trinity of the Christian God and the Egyptian gods Isis, Osiris and Horus, as well as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva from Hinduism. The light installation is complemented by a sound installation. Light & Blessing is the contribution of the Protestant and Catholic churches to the festival.
