At 120 stations, the Phänomania Erfahrungsfeld (Experience Field for the Development of the Senses) shows how scientific laws work in everyday situations through experimentation and trial and error. How does the eye see? How does the ear hear? How does the nose smell? And how does the skin feel? These and many other questions can be explored by young and old alike at a listed building at the World Heritage Site Zollverein. Hugo Kükelhaus, an educator from Essen, originally conceived the exhibition for the 1967 World Expo in Montreal.
