Discover the Magic of Light

#4 | Be the Tree | Interactive video installation

Jasper Toeli, Netherlands

Trees absorb the carbon dioxide that we humans breathe out and convert it into valuable oxygen. In a way, they are part of our respiratory system. The interactive video installation "Be the Tree" by Dutch artist Jasper Toeli sheds light on this symbiotic relationship between humans and plants. Visitors to Hirschlandplatz hold their head in an oxygen tank. Their face is then projected onto the crown of the tree opposite. It becomes magical.
