In the dark season, fountains often lose their appeal. Not so the "Fantastic Fountain" on Burgplatz. The Essen artist Dennis Nolda has taken care of this by transforming the fountain's course into an impressive playground without any water, but with light, colours and shapes. He interprets the familiar, leisurely course of the fountain's water in a light-artistic way and enriches it with numerous aesthetic facets. To the playful and atmospheric sounds of Essen-based musician Daniel Kurniczak, the light show takes you on an imaginative and sometimes almost surreal journey to the elements of nature.
